I am trained to work with children and youth, parents, and families. I have worked with children and youth diagnosed with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, LDs, Autism, and depression. My passion is working with children and youth who have ‘big feelings’ (i.e., 'superfeelers') who struggle with emotion and behaviour regulation.
In therapy, I emphasize parent involvement (with the child and more commonly with parents on their own). I believe that parents are the ‘experts’ on their family, that they know their child better than anyone, and that they are the most important factor in children’s emotional and mental health. My goal is to empower parents to help their child (with emotion processing, for example) and strengthen the parent-child relationship so that parents can support their child.
