My name is Dr. Jen Scully, Ph.D., C. Psych. I completed my Masters and Ph.D. in School and Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto (OISE).  I am a member of The College of Psychologists of Ontario.  As a clinical child psychologist, I am trained in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health challenges.

I have completed placements, worked and researched in hospitals, school boards, and community mental health settings. I also supervise psychology residents.

My training is in child development, attachment, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotion focused therapy.

I practice a strength based, integrative approach to psychotherapy drawing primarily from Emotion Focused Therapy, which places emotions at the centre in therapy and highlights emotion processing (especially avoidance) as key to treating mental health challenges.  I am a practitioner of Emotion Focused Family Therapy and Emotion Focused Skills Training. I am committed to providing empirically supported and evidence informed therapy (i.e., knowing which approaches are most effective for which diagnoses/challenges).
